Librarian I: Adult & Information Services Department (Part-time)

The Old Bridge Public Library seeks a part-time Librarian to join our team.=
 This is a position for someone with a sense of humor, strong customer serv=
ice skills, ability to think outside the =93box=94, someone who wants to be=
 actively involved in the community, and has the ability to serve a multicu=
ltural population.

Knowledge of current adult and information services standards and practices=
 as well as strong customer service and communication skills are essential.=
 The position will focus on Programming and Outreach to Seniors & Baby Boom=
ers. Other responsibilities include: staffing the Adult & Information Servi=
ces Desk, innovative programming, reader=92s advisory, collection developme=
nt and outreach services.

This position requires an ALA accredited MLS and the ability to obtain a Ne=
w Jersey Professional Librarian Certificate. The Library requires that a cr=
iminal background check be performed before a job offer can be made. The 18=
 hour work week will include day, night & weekend hours. Additional on-call=
 hours may be available. Salary is $24.70 per hour. Library employees are m=
