Hi!
This note is a follow-up to a discussion this past week at the INFOLINK Diversity Committee.
Is there any interest among INFOLINK members in starting rotating circuit collections for books
in other languages? Spanish? Russian? Chinese? Korean? Gujarai? etc.
We would form it in the same manner as the other circuits now in existence, such as the: Large Print,
Books-on-CD, DVD, etc. Each library would contribute an annual assessment, one library would agree
to house the materials when ordered, and we would have one or two members form a team to deal with vendors to do the ordering. We could rotate 4x a year. The annual assessment might be $1,000 to start.
If your Library would be interested in this, could be please let me know. We would like to discuss
it further at our next meeting. You can either reply here to the list or e-mail me at: akleiman@oldbridgelibrary.org.
Thanks,
Allan
