depend largely on how it addresses three basic management issues:
Identifying needs, policies & guidelines and budget allocations.
Dealing sensibly with these factors will establish an effective
framework for collection development efforts.
At the end of this training session you will:
. Be able to explain the function of each of the key management
issues and know how to make them work for you.
. Be able to develop an effective multilingual collection
development plan for the library.
. Be familiar with a number of helpful collection development
resources
